Funny, interesting stories / incidents you remember during the good old school days including primary school, like playing truant, pranks and etc.

The Making of Entrepreneurs
There was once where we had a fun-fair. Most likely in Form 2. Recalling the event, I think all of us had some of the greatest fun – from visiting the girl schools to sell tickets, to the actual day of the fair where pretty girls would come up to our store to enquire what was the contraption we had (for some, it must be their first close encounter of the sexual kind – having the best pick-up line and excuse to strike up a conversation). Of course, some swore that they were propositioned when some girls said “That’s a huge contraption, or are you just glad to see me!!”. If anyone remembers, we were converting our Law of Physics (roller coaster) to make some miserable buck for some god-forsaken excuse of a school building fund.
The most memorable thing for me is Lim Kok Beng’s marketing slogan “Come one come all. Come to the bankrupt stall!!” It sure worked, because we were inundated. It appeals to the Malaysian and the Singapore’s Kiasu attitude of getting a bargain. I sometimes still use this slogan during appropriate situations for a good laugh. (It was a bankrupt stall because we gave away prizes to pretty girls regardless if they won or not!!)

He Who Dares Win
Anybody recalled how we managed to con the CHIJ girls to come to our Form 4 Party? We must all give thanks to Alex Tan who through his political connection with the young clerk, managed to get School Letterhead stationery. With the school letterhead stationery, Alex merely requested CHIJ’s presence! Their headmistress wrote back officially and insisted that the CHIJ girls all attend our end-of-year party. My god, that is one hell of a brave thing to do, Alex. Kudos to you for giving us a great time!
